The self-consistent description of nonlinear optical processes in the nanosystems is proposed in the work. The nonlinear electrodynamics of the nanosystems is considered by way of example of second harmonic generation (SHG) effects. The concept of effective susceptibility developed by the author earlier for the linear nanosystems is extended to the nonlinear systems. The nonlinear local-field factor, connecting the external fields acting to the system with the local field at second harmonic (SH) is obtained and analysed in the frame of Green function method for different systems. The problem of local-field enhancement at surface harmonic is discussed.
